A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

Join me in one of my paradises, Sabah in northern Borneo and its rainforests. This is an area I began to explore in the late 80s. A few years later, in 1995-96, I undertook a 14-month expedition here for National Geographic. Now, I want to show you the incredible wildlife in one of the world’s most beautiful rainforests. A GLIMPSE

On arrival to Kota Kinabalu you will be meet by a FAE representative, after check in you will have the rest of the day to rest after a long flight. In the evening you will enjoy a nice dinner while being briefed on the upcoming journey.

In the morning the day after you will head to the airport for a flight that will take us closer to the rainforest that will greet us with amazing experiences.  Our first stop is the Sepilok Rehabilitation center, where you will meet Mattias Klum.

This is the start of an amazing couple of days that will culminate in your unique 1/1 fine art print created and signed by one of the world’s renowned  photographers.

During the days we will also experience The Kinabatangan River, one of the most biologically rich places in the world.

Along its banks, dense rainforests and shimmering wetlands grow, making the area a unique home for a wide range of animals, and one of the best places in the world to spot rare specie

The highlight of the trip is undoubtedly Danum Valley, where we will check in at the  first class eco lodge, rain forest lodge.

Here you will enjoy the rainforest and be amazed by its sounds, smells and amazing wildlife. Mattias who has spent over 14 months in the area will share his vast knowledge of the amazing rainforest that surround’s you and it´s inhabitants  including  the endangered Orangutangs.

One of the mornings, we will rise early to capture the sunrise at the GAW Tower. This observation tower offers a fantastic opportunity to experience and document the rainforest from above, with a panoramic view over the treetops in the morning mist, an amazing experience.

Apart from an abundance of nature experience i you’ll get firsthand insight into his creative process of a world class photographer, and pick up tips and tricks to improve your own personal photography as you collaborate in the field to create your unique Fine Art Print.

Your journey will end up in Bali at the luxurious Bvlgari Resort right by the ocean. Our team have tailored a program that during a couple of days will let you experience the best of this beautiful Island from its temple to famous rice terraces

THE PRINT

Back home, Mattias will go through the images and work individually on each image, making small changes that will make an already stunning image even better.

The selection of images will then be presented to you by Mattias  during a personal presentation where the selection will be revealed.

When you have selected the image you want, the image will be prepared for printing. Mattias will then oversee the printing and personally inspect the print before it is signed and numbered in a 1/1 edition. A unique fine art photo just for you.

Together with the fine art print, you will also get an exclusive coffee table book in a 1/1 edition with photos from the experience.
